Congratulations on taking the first step to discovering what the Fort Smith, Arkansas Jaycees are all about. We are an organization dedicated to fostering personal development and leadership skills through the planning and successful implementation of events and projects in a variety of areas for young men and women age 21 through 40. You too can help make a difference in your/our community.

The Fort Smith Jaycees offers its members the opportunity to meet a group of wonderful and talented people, take part in worthwhile projects, fulfill a need for personal growth, and contribute to Fort Smith and the River Valley. Take the time to browse the website, you'll find photos, contacts, meeting infrmation, online resources, upcoming event information, and more.

Thank you for your interest in the Fort Smith, Arkansas Junior Chamber, and I look forward to the possibility of working with you in the future.

The purpose of the Jaycees is stated as: "To promote and foster the growth and development of young persons’ civic organizations in the United States, designed to inculcate (to teach and impress upon) in the individual membership of such organization a spirit of genuine Americanism and civic interest, and...to provide them with opportunity for personal development and achievement and an avenue for intelligent participation...in the affairs of the community, state, and nation, and to develop true friendship and understanding among young persons of all nations."

Simply put, the purpose of the local chapter is to become a force for good in the community, determining community needs and providing solutions by planning and facilitating community service projects. In the act of serving, members receive hands-on experience, which translates to the enhancement of personal growth and the development of valuable leadership skills. This is the total Junior Chamber Concept.
